The big news this week when it comes to massive video games releases is the Western-themed “Red Dead Redemption” from Rockstar. This highly anticipated game has received critical acclaim from the reviews of it so far thanks to an interactive environment and multi-player game focus. The title is due to be released tomorrow (21st May) on Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles.

In other news, Nintendo has announced that it has partnered with The American Heart Foundation to promote healthy living and gaming through the Wii console. The companies are joining together in helping people to “promote healthy living through active-play video games.”

The Paris-based games publisher has celebrated its tenth year in the downloadable games arena by announcing it has now sold over 330 million games. Gameloft has enjoyed continued success during this time and is well regarded as one of the most innovative developers around.

The company has expanded its reach over the years and now produces games for smartphones and mobile phones with Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad being amongst key markets.
